How can you improve your video with mutliple shot angles?

How to remove audio from your video and make it black and white. How to transition between scenes - adding transitions. What does Cmd + T do? What does Shift + ? do? What does the B key do?

Review of FCP and editing techniques - titles, gaps, short cut keys, JKL

The Silent Short - continue editing your first scene. As you edit the first scene think about the rest of your film, do you need additional shots? Is the storyline coming across clearly? Remember you must have at least 24 different shots - check the project requirements.

Today is the last day to get your shots. The project is due next week.

Producer - submit storyboard and complete pass
DP - check out the camera and all needed equipment, will there be dialogue? Then you will need a mic and boom.

Think about a 1 minute commercial you would like to make. Who is your audience? How will you convince them to buy your product? What shots will you use?

 

What, Why, How

What: Movies are created by developing a sequence of shots and scenes in order to tell a story. The different types of shots are referred to by name and abreviations.

Why: Knowing the different types of shots is part of the movie making profession and this knowledge adds to the skill set of the videographer.

How: Class discussion, reading notes and examples
