One of the goals of this course is to prepare you for the A+ certification exam. But what is A+ certification? Why would you want to become A+ certified? Take a look at the CompTIA website to answer the following questions about A+ certification. Open a text document on your computer and name it "Last Name A+ Certification".
Type in your name, the date and period at the top of the page. Now go to the CompTIA website to find out more about A+ certification.

Part II: PC Technicians
Go to a job finding website such as Dice.com or Monster.com and do a search for PC Technician or Desktop Support Technician. Look at some of the job descriptions and answer these questions.
- What percentage (a rough estimate) of the jobs list A+ certification as a requirement?
- What is the typical salary for a PC tech? Give a high and low salary.
- Make a list of some of the tasks that are expected to be performed by a PC tech.
Now print up your document and give it to your teacher for credit.
