FTP Tutorial
The following web site, www.webteacher.org, will provide you with a tutorial on how WS_FTP works. Move to the section on Peripherals and Utilities and then select FTP .Read through the tutorial and answer the following questions.
1. What does FTP stand for and what does it allow you to do?
2. Follow the instructions in the tutorial to login to the ftp.funet.fi site. These instructions are found in the Logging into the Server section.
3. Finding the File - What do the files on the left hand side of the window represent? What about the files on the right hand side of the window?
4. Write down the path to the wsping32.zip file location.
5. Create a folder in your home directory called "Downloads" and save the wsping32.zip file to this location. How can you tell the file has been successfully downloaded?
6. Show the downloaded file to your instructor for teacher check.
