Career Project

 

Develop a website for your career project, using the information from the DeVry Institute Quiz, the Princeton Review Quiz, the Work Interest Quiz, and other research.  The website should include at least 7 web pages (see specifics below):  This project is worth 150 points.

A home page with the title of your project and links to your other pages.  You may use buttons or the navibar that you create as a component.  Include your name, name of the course, and date at the bottom of the page.  Include a brief paragraph and graphic about your project.

Use header and a navigation bar on all of your pages to make them uniform.  Remember the Design Principles and use them on your pages.

A page on the Princeton Review Quiz that explains:

1. Your Color of Interest and the interests and activities it represents
2. Your Color of Style and the interests and activities it represents
3. A list of Careers associated with your results. 

Use bulleted lists/tables to organize the lists.
For example:
My interest color is red. 
People with red interests include:
responsibilities/occupations that are:
building active implementing hands-on organizing

Concluding Paragraph - do you feel these results provide an appropriate description of who you are and what you like? Are some of the suggested careers of interest to you? Which ones and why?

For two careers find the following information:

Ÿ  Job Outlook           Ÿ  Salary range       Ÿ  College Majors         Ÿ  Other Information  This information can be found on the Princeton Review Site or the Job Outlook Handbook site.             
One career must be related to this class. The other one may be the result of one of the quizzes or one that you looked up.

A page about the college/trade school that you researched.  Name of the school, etc.  What classes will you need to take?  How many units do you need to complete? 
What will the cost be?  Include the URL to the college as a link.

Evaluate the results.  Did you learn anything?  Were the results of the quizzes similar?  Were the results of these quizzes accurate?  How can you learn more about the careers in which you have interest?

Include relevant graphics on at least half of the web pages.  Include Alt text that displays the URL of the page where you got the graphic.

Resources/bibliography page – list all of the URLs and the name of the sites.  Link the URLs to the pages.
