Computer Repair is a two semester course. In the first semester students are introduced to the hardware components of a PC. They learn to install, troubleshoot and upgrade a PC. What is learned in class is reinforced in the lab as students put to use what they just learned in class. Small mini-labs are also performed in class so students can put to use what they have learned. The second semester shifts from hardware to software with a focus on the Windows operating system. We start the semester with an introduction to computer networking. We then begin the introduction to operating sytems. The computers in this class are triple boot systems, the run Windows 7, Vista and XP and students will make use of all three OSs during the year. Students will install and configure Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. At the end of the year there will also be an introduction to Linux. The following links will provide you with more information regarding the course. Course
