Read the article and answer these questions.

1. Choose five pairs of careers that are compared in the article and list them. Circle or highlight the one in each pair that makes the most.

2. Which of the pairs in the article surprised you the most? Why?

3. High School Teacher or Waste Disposal Manager - what are some of the reasons someone might choose to be a teacher instead of a waste disposal manager?

4. What are the things you look for most in a career? List at least 5 things you are looking for.

5. What is the difference in wages for a high school graduate and someone with a two year degree (an associate degree)? Show the math please.

6. What is the difference in wages for a high school graduate and someone with a four year degree (a bachelor's degree)? Show the math please.

7. Go back to question #1 and choose one pair of jobs and calculate how much each of those two jobs will make in 10 years. Now calculate the difference in earning power for the higher paying job.

8. What is the lifetime difference in wages for the high school graduate and the bachelors degree?
