Furnishing an Office the Easy Way

Using the Array Command

The CEO of a large company has been fired and her office will now be used to train new employees. The instructor for the program would like to see several different arrangements for the converted classroom and has come to you for help.

    1. Open the Moveoff drawing. Remove all furniture except the captain’s chair by the windows and one regular chair. This will be the front of the classroom. Use the array command to arrange regular chairs in four rows of six chairs each in a traditional classroom set up. Save as Class1.

    2. The instructor would now like to see the chairs arranged in circles for discussion groups. Make three circles, each with 6 chairs, and arrange them around the room. Place a round table in the center of each circle of chairs. Save the drawing as Class2.

    3. The instructor would like to see the chairs arranged like a typical classroom but this time instead of straight rows would like to see several rows of chairs arranged in a semi circle. 18 chairs are needed for this design. Save this as Class3.

    4. Come up with your own arrangement using the array command. You must have at least 18 chairs and your design must be significantly different from the previous three designs. Save this drawing as Class4.

    5. Open all four classes and tile the windows so all four drawings are visible. Show these drawings to your instructor for teacher check.
