Chapter 6 Step 1 Adding Zones

Open the ArchiCAD 11 Guide and move to pages 74-77  . Follow the steps through the tutorial and answer these questions as you go.

1. When you open the zone tool settings window what are some of the different zone categories that are available? List three of these that will most likely apply to your house.
   
   
2. What information is displayed when you add a zone to your drawing?
   
   
3. Once you have finished chapter 6 show your drawing to your instructor for teacher check.

Now open your house drawing and create zones for each room in your house. Be sure the label has the name of the room and the correct ID number (start with 001).

Use the following categories:

Living Space - bedrooms
Conditioned space - halls, bathrooms, living rooms, kitchen ....
Garage - garage
Any other category that would be appropriate, such as utility for the laundry room.
