Sketches
Create a floor plan sketch of your kitchen. The sketch should include counters, appliances and any furniture you place in the kitchen. Label the appliances and include a working triangle. Also include a key for your elevation views.
Upper cabinets usually start 16-18" above the counter and are typically 30",36" or 42" tall. The base cabinets are 34.5" tall so that the addition of a 1.5" counter would produce a height of 36". The base cabinets are 24" deep while the upper cabinets are 12" deep. Use this information to create a section drawing of one wall that contains base and upper cabinets. Remember this is a sketch not a final drawing.
Create interior elevation sketches of each wall in your kitchen. Number each elevation view and be sure that it matches your key on your floor plan sketch.
