Creating a Layout Book in ArchiCAD

So far you have been printing one view at a time but what if you want to print a layout that contains several views on the same plot. To do this you need a layout book to organize your drawings. In CAD plotting is extremely important because all electronic copies at one point or another become hard copies. Here are the steps for creating a layout book.

1. Setup your layout just as you want it to appear when plotting. Be sure your scale is set appropriately.
2. Save and name each view you want to plot. Your saved view will be visible in the view map.
3. From the menu bar select Document > Layout Book > New Layout
4. Give the layout an appropriate name (Kitchen Layout) and also select the appropriate size for the layout (Arch-D).
5. To add images to your layout you simple drag the image from your view map or project map to the layout. Position the image appropriately.
