Based on your experience with Hello Purr, I Have a Dream, and the challenging customizations associated with those apps, you will now build a soundboard of your own. We will share these out with the class.
Criteria
-
You must have at least 6 image buttons
-
You must have at least 6 sound files (one may be textToSpeech)
-
You must have a unifying theme for your soundboard (not “Stuff I Like” but “Game of Thrones” for example)
-
You must put your name in the Screen 1 Title
-
You must set the formatting properties so that it looks more finished
-
You must set an icon for the app so that it shows a representative image when it is downloaded
-
You MAY use Accelerometer
-
You MAY use TextToSpeech
-
You MAY add on other customizations
-
You must have fun :)
Tips
-
RENAME your components so that they make sense and communicate their content. This is a great habit and will make your coding EASIER!
-
Use Player components rather than Sound components if you have anything longer than a short sound effect
-
The size limit is 5 MB- so crop and resize images using Preview (demo in class) and crop files using Audacity (demo in class) or another resource
-
Try to find a way to stop the other players when one is pressed
-
Consult your earlier projects to see how the components (design) and behaviors and events (blocks) are built
-
TALK to your neighbors. You will learn more when you help out and discuss this stuff with your classmates
