5.7 Analyzing Algorithms
Search Experiment
Read and watch the preview and introduction. Check to see if the Search Experiment app is already installed on your tablet, it should be. If not then download and install the Search Experiment, you will need to be sure that Unknown Sources box in the settings is checked so you can install apps from unknown sources like this one. Go to Settings > General > Security > Device Administration > check the Unknown sources box.

Once the app is installed work with a partner to perform the tests. Copy the spreadsheet provided on the website and fill in the data as you work through the tests. Now run the test and fill in the data table with the results. Once you have the data insert a chart to display the data. Be sure the chart has appropriate labels.

Sort Experiment
Repeat the above steps but this time use the Sort Experiment app for the Empirical Sort Analysis. Make your range from 10-100 and record your results in the same spreadsheet you used for part 1. Be sure you create a NEW randome list for each sort otherwise the data will already be sorted. Once you have the data insert a chart to display the data. Be sure the chart has appropriate labels.

Complete the 5.7 Analyzing Algorithms questions and reflections.

Show all of this work to your instructor for teacher check.

Create a Guessing Game App that allows a user to try to guess the number from 1-100 that the app has randomly picked. Keep track of the number of guesses and let the user know if their value is too small, too larger or just right.
