Career Success - Creating a LinkedIn Profile
Now that you have completed Career Success the next step is to start working on your career success by creating a LinkedIn account and creating your personal profile. But first a few questions.

- Go to your Google drive and create a new folder called LinkedIn. Now create a new document called LinkedIn Information. Enter the following into this document:

Password: - Go to the LinkedIn home page and complete the form for creating an account. Use your sequoia email address and your sequoia password. Click Join Now once you have entered your information. Note: at a later time you can add your personal email account if you wish.
- Once you have logged into the site follow the directions in 10 linkedIn Tips for Students to get your profile in shape. Here are the sections you should complete:
- Professional Photo
- Education
- Experience - if you do not have work experience then put in volunteer work or clubs or activities that you have been involved in.
- Featured Skills - these should come straight from your resume. Don't forget to add "Final Cut Pro X - intermediate"
- Interests
- Heading - this is the first thing people see when looking at your profile. Here is some advice for making your headline meaningful.

- Summary - searched by recruiters so be sure this section has key skills. Here is a sample summary page
- Notice that step 1 is the upload a professional photo. If you do not have one then have one taken today or sometime this week in the video studio. If you want to come back and take another more professional photo then feel free to come back when you are dressed professionally to have another shot taken.
