Changing Exposure Setting

 

Adjusting Exposure on the Canon HFR500 - Black Camera

1. To adjust the exposure setting you must be in Programmed shooting - if your camera is in Auto mode click on the Auto image and then swipe up to select P for Programmed mode.

2. Once in programmed mode click on the camera setting icon and then swipe down to exposure.

3. Once in the exposure window click on the M for manual and then use the slider bar at the bottom of the window to manually adjust the exposure.

For the practice video your subject should start out under exposed (too dark to see their features) and then adjust the slider so you can see thier features normally.


Adjusting Exposure on the Canon HFR20 - Red Camera

1. Click on the Auto button on the side of the camera to turn Auto Mode Off.

2. Click on the Func icon to pull up the camera functions.

3. Once in the exposure window click on the M for manual and then use the slider bar at the bottom of the window to manually adjust the exposure.

For the practice video your subject should start out under exposed (too dark to see their features) and then adjust the slider so you can see thier features normally.
