Video Announcements

 

Each team will be responsible for completing one video announcements each quarter.

The purpose of the VA is to inform students of what is going on at Sequoia in a way that is fun, entertaining and informative.

Here are the specs for the commercial project:

- Use the the Slide title found in FCP as the intro.
- Use the Endpage title found in FCP as the closing credits.
- Use the Broadcast music clip found in FCP as the intro and closing music.
- Be sure to include appropriate music clips that add to the interest of the announcements. Be sure the music is low during the speaking sections.
- Use text where appropriate to highlight specific events or news items.
- Add sound effects if appropriate - try soundbible.com or use the sounds in FCP.

Monday
- decide who is going to be in charge of the script, camera, sound, edits
- copy and edit announcements into a tight script.

e sure to delete any announcements for Monday - Wednesday.

Tuesday/Wednesday

Update Script - check to see if there are any new announcements and add them to your script.
Sequoia Announcements

Setup Prompter - download your script onto iPad teleprompter app.

Setup camera - make sure you have a boom mic, headphones and memory card.

Setup Lights - turn on and adjust lights to get the best lighting

Test Shot - take a test shot and play it back, be sure audio and video are both high quality - troubleshoot as needed.

Shoot Your Scenes - order does NOT matter. As soon as one scene is finished swap memory cards and have one person begin the editing process.

Editing Process - import the video announcements library for the title and credits as well as music from the memory card provided by Mr. Dodge

- Edit your scenes to cut any mistakes

- Add appropriate green screen backgrounds

Submit the finished video - when finished export the video and submit it to Google Classroom under Video Announcements.
