Here is your chance to give your interpretation of a song of your choice but there are a few guidelines. If the song contains lyrics they cannot violate Sequoia's campus control policy. The video must be a visual interpretation of the song.
Note: If you want to use the studio for your project you must reserve a time slot. The studio is also available outside of class.
Here are the specs for the project:
- 5 seconds of black screen.
- Title ~ 3 seconds - should show up during the 5 seconds of black screen and should have your first name only.
- Your movie. The movie must be a minimum of 2 minutes but no longer than 4 minutes so pick a song that fits this time frame.
- No one shot can be longer than 20 seconds.
- Clips must cut on the beat of the song.
- Closing credits - be sure to credit the artist of the song.
- 5 seconds of black screen.
All That You Got - RWC Keystone Club
Here is a great Music Video, this would be an A+
Here is another take, Pianoforte E Batteria - Jimmy Daggett is a Sequoia grad.
Dance of the Duodecimos
Sample 1 - notice how the clips change on the beat of the music. Also note the transitions, fade to black, dissolve, none. Notice that the author is telling a story through the video, it is NOT just a bunch of random shots.
Sample 2
Sample 3 - again notice the transitions and the story line.
