  1. What does POST stand for?
  2. When does POST occur and why?
  3. Restart your computer and press the F1 key  as soon as the computer starts up.
  4. Copy down some of the information displayed on the screen.
  5. What driver gets loaded first? Why must this be the first driver to be loaded?
  6. What type of processor does you system have? What is the speed of your processor?
  7. What is the speed of your system bus?
  8. What is the speed of your RAM?
  9. What type of memory does your system have?
  10. How much total RAM does your system have?
  11. How much  L2 Cache is on your system?
  12. List several options listed under the Advanced menu.
  13. Click on Hardware Monitoring and write down 4 different values displayed.
  14. Move to the Boot section. What is the current Boot Device Priority?
  15. What type of hard drive does your system have?
  16. What does pressing F9 do and why might this be useful?
  17. When you are finished press the ESC key to exit without making any changes.
